Thief told to return bear statue

Police have urged a thief who stole a Rupert the Bear statue from a garden on the Isle of Man where it has stood for 13 years to return it.The ornament, which is 18ins (45cm) tall, was taken at 0300 BST from the garden on Ballaquayle Road, Douglas. A police spokesman said: "The owners are very upset.. and would like Rupert returned for the TT race to take his rightful place in the display." Anyone with information should contact the island's police. The TT race begins on 30 May.
