Intro to Chakras

Good morning, chicas! Happy Memorial Day!
So, I was on I See Color last week [can't you tell I love that place?], and in one of my groups, someone posted a discussion about one’s chakras being open. I took the quiz [you can take it here] and found that three of mine were under active [yikes!].
Now, while I’ve heard of chakras, I wasn’t exactly sure what they are and how they work. But you know me, I had to find out, so…
Chakras are centers of energy that are located on the midline of the body. We have seven, and they direct our psychlogical properties.  The ones located on our lower body are our instinctual side; the highest ones are our mental side.
They can have several levels of activity, and when they’re ‘open,’ they’re considered functioning in a normal way.
All chakras would ideally contribute to our being because our instincts would work together with our feelings and thinking; but this isn’t usually the case. Because of this, some chakras are open enough- or under active- and to make up for it, and  others are over active. The best state is when they are balanced.
Most techniques are used to balance the chakras are to open under active ones. The chakras are:

Root
Sacral
Navel
Heart
Throat
Third Eye
Crown

You can read how you act when they are under or over active and how you can balance them here.
Ciao bellas!
